Staycation in Coeur d’alene and North Idaho

Did I just read that right? I paid $3.95 for one gallon of gas right here in Coeur d’Alene? I guess I shouldn’t be surprised when gas is above $4 nation-wide. Well, there went our planned trip to Yellowstone and Disney Land. Not only is gas up, but everything else is up, it’s not only keeping us home, but many others to. I guess we’ll just have to stay here in North Idaho and find things to do.
I think we need a Staycation! What the heck is that you ask? A staycation is where you stay home for your vacation and explore all that your local environment has to offer. And there can be so many benefits! It’s cheaper, it can be more fun, and you always stay in a nice bed, yours! We actually had a few driving vacations planned for the summer, but moving a suburban down the road for a few hundred miles just isn’t going to fly anymore, so I thought I would compile a list of all the great things our writers have done and written about in Coeur d’Alene that we are going to do and you should think about too!
We are getting our staycation on with these activities:
Outdoor Adventures in Bayview, Sailing, Boating Fishing and more.
Cougar Bay Nature Walk, great for dogs
Hiking in Coeur d’alene and Surround Areas
Graham Creek Camping, Hiking and Fishing
The City Park -Swimming, Basketball, Big Toys and more! Great Picnicing
Riverstone Park - Dog walk, big toys and picnic
You can find so many more here at OneThousandThingsToDo.com. Check out Sandpoint and Spokane too!
